The former Los Angeles Lakers PG Russell Westbrook had a forgettable stint with the team. Still, earlier in the season, there was some buzz about him getting the Sixth Man of the Year Award after good performances in a coming-off-the-bench role.

But personal problems with some teammates and the coaching staff, besides the constant battle between the PG and the NBA media & fans, made the Lakers trade him.

Russ is now living a new era in Los Angeles, but with the team rival the Clippers, so far isn't starting that well as the team has a 0-5 record since signing him.

Still, Westbrook thinks that he should win the Sixth Man of the Year Award for what he did with the Lakers, as with the Clippers, he returned to become a starter again.

Westbrook still wants to win the 6MOY Award

According to Chris Haynes, Westbrook still wants to win the Award despite becoming a starter with the Clippers. "I did a lot to buy into the system there with the Lakers," said Russ.
