Team USA has won two of their three group stage games in the current FIBA World Cup, and both wins have been thanks in big part to the effort and great performances of the Lakers guard Austin Reaves.

Reaves is becoming a sensation in the FIBA World Cup not only because of his performances but also because the Philipines crowd loves him and has shown their support to him since the moment he arrived.

It's only been two games, but now Steve Kerr has a dilemma, as the starter has been Brandon Ingram, but Reaves has shown to be more effective out of the two stars. Kerr could make the move of making Reaves the starter or to keep him as an energy changer from the bench.

In two games, Ingram has scored 7  points, 3/8 FG for 38% in 32 minutes of playing time with a plus/minus of +10 while Austin through the same two games has scored 27 points, 8/13 FG with a 62% in 39 minutes and a plus/minus of +38.

Ingram may be the starter but Reaves is the one getting more minutes

Kerr will probably keep Austin coming off the bench, as he is getting more playing time anyway and brings a change of pace that sometimes is needed. Brandon could bounce back at any moment, still, his minutes are getting reduced because Reaves is outplaying him.
