The Lakers were able to turn a season around that looked doomed, thanks in big part to the acquisition of D'Angelo Russell who landed in LA replacing Russell Westbrook who had a controversial stint with the purple and gold.

D-Lo delivered for the most part, but his postseason run wasn't at the same level as what he showed in the regular season after he arrived on the team. Russell's performance against the Nuggets had the Lakers according to reports by NBA insider Jovan Buha thinking twice about signing him back, but GM Rob Pelinka did re-sign him for a 37 million two-year deal.

While D-Lo was backed, his trading clause now has him available to be traded if the Lakers want to, and nos the NBAanaysis.net has a trade proposal that includes the PG.

The trade proposal has the Charlotte Hornets receiving the Point Guard D'Angelo Russell and the Forward Taurean Prince while the purple and gold would be receiving the guard Terry Rozier.

What Terry Rozier could bring to the Lakers table

Rozier is the best player in this deal and is the type of player who's thrived alongside James before. We’ve seen him succeed with score-first guards. If you can space the floor and create your shot, you can thrive in a James-led system. Rozier ticks those boxes. The Lakers can’t make this move immediately. They just extended D’Angelo Russell, so they need to wait until the trade deadline to move him. That’s perfect.
