Team USA lost vs. Lithuania, Austin Reaves detractors celebrate

Some people just can't handle other's success, it seems to be the case for the many detractors that the Lakers star Austin Reaves is living, as he had a recent meteoric rise that helped him to sign a max extension with the purple and gold and be playing at the FIBA World Cup with Team USA.

Austin Reaves has been a standout for the United States group, but many NBA fans still believe he is an underrated player, and shouldn't have had the media attention he gets, now that Team USA has lost against Lithuania, the detractors have come out to blame it all on Reaves and called him a fraud.

The reality is that on each game that Reaves has entered coming off the bench, Team USA is usually trailing for more than 15 points, and while today the Lakers guard didn't have a great day, it just proves the difference in winning that he makes. Today's loss is not only on Austin but on the whole team.

Still, Austin Reaves has been receiving hate for one bad game out of the 10 he has been playing with Team USA since the doubters and detractors. Reaves and Team USA will bounce back, as they have qualified to the next round and most importantly, to next year's Olympic games.

Austin Reaves is now inside Bleacher Report's top 100 NBA players for the 2023-24 season

Despite the hate that the Lakers guard has been receiving outside the LA fandom, on the website Bleacher Report, the top 100 NBA ranking of best players for the next season has been released and Reaves is part of it for the first time in his career.
