After the LA Lakers were able to accomplish the ultimate goal of winning an NBA championship title in 2020, the GM Rob Pelinka has changed the roster, since then, the team has been lacking in their 3-point shooting efficacy.

The last season, Pelinka wanted to solve that problem by signing Malik Beasley, but the SG was disappointed and now is no longer part of the team, and to make things worst, Lonnie Walker also has left the roster this offseason.

The good news is that the 3-point shooting solution is already inside the team and is not Austin Reaves. As Rui Hachimura proved in the last playoffs, he has been working on his jump shots, and this offseason has continued to do it with the help of assistant coach Phil Handy.

Because of that, the Lakers have re-signed Hachimura in this free agency market with a 3-year 51 million contract, as Rui improved his 3-point shooting efficacy and has become one of the best jump shooters on the roster.

The Lakers are still looking to add another player to their roster

The Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has stated they are "actively" looking to add another big to the roster to fill the 14th spot and then call it complete for the start of the 2023-24 season.
