One of the biggest concerns the Lakers fans and the NBA media have regarding the newest center signing of Christian Wood is the fact of his known bad behavior.

In his career, Wood has played already in seven different NBA franchises which speaks volumes about his behavior, as rumors have him to be a difficult player to work with.

The Lakers believe they can make him work, as Anthony Davis and coach Darvin Ham already have worked with him before and believe they can bring out the best of the big.

And even when the Lakers signed Wood for two years, 5.7 million, and a player option, there's a catch as an NBA front office source of ESPN has weighed in: "If he's on his best behavior, it could be a good fit," the source told ESPN. "If he's not, well, you cut him."

Rui Hachimura is expected to start over Christian Wood

Reports by The Athletic's Jovan Buha have Rui Hachimura as a starter for coach Ham, with Wood being the first substitute for Anthony Davis, which isn't surprising but it appears that before training camp, the Lakers coach has his starting five in mind. To this moment, Ham's starting five will be D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis, at least before training camp starts.
