The Los Angeles Lakers are set for training camp, still, they are looking around to see if a player caught coach Ham's attention to use the 15th spot on him.

With that in mind, GM Rob Pelinka signed four players for exhibit 10 in the shape of the returning Scotty Pippen Jr., Damion Baugh, Vincent Valerio-Bodon, and Bryce Hamilton.

But now that the news broke that the San Antonio Spurs are waiving veteran guard Cam Payne, according to ESPN. Payne has been waived and is looking for a chance to join a contending team that can give him a bigger role.

The Lakers have an open roster spot and contending team status which could have the front office interested in signing the guard. But with Reaves, DLo, Gabe Vincent, and LeBron already on board, a bigger role doesn't appear to be available. Still, Payne could steal the spot out of the four guards that have been signed for exhibit 10.

Training camp hasn't started but the players are already in the lab

We are about a month away from training camp to start, and most of the players are already working out in the Lakers practice facility. The new signings, new rookies, and returning players are all putting up the work to have a great season.
