Team USA had their FIBA World Cup debut earlier today with a win over the New Zealand team. The Lakers guard Austin Reaves was key for the squad to get the victory.

After today's performance and the recent Reaves answer that implied that he could be 'recruiting' some teammates to the Lakers, the LA's guard made a great duo with Anthony Edwards.

The fans immediately want the GM Rob Pelinka to sign Ant to the purple and gold. Edwards has been one of the standouts from the Minnesota Timberwolves and has caught everyone's attention with Team USA.

Once the game between the USA and New Zealand ended with a victory for the United States on their way to the locker room in the tunnels, Anthony Edwards made fun of Austin Reaves after the crowd was yelling at him "Austin, you're him!" Showing how good of a relationship both have. The chemistry is palpable and could be a great duo for the post-LeBron era.

Austin Reaves' performance vs. New Zealand

In his FIBA World Cup debut, Austin Reaves came off the bench to score 12 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 3/4 FG, and 2/2 3-pointers. Reaves was also the most cheered out of the Phillipines crowd.
