Today is the day that Anthony Davis is officially eligible for an extension for 3 years with the Los Angeles Lakers. A lot has been speculated about whether the team should extend him or not, but seems that all parties agreed to continue their partnership.

Recently the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka spoke about it and while he wasn't able to say if they are going to extend the superstar, he implied they will, as stated that are impressed with him and what Davis has done with the team.

Also, the Lakers governor and owner Jeanie Buss implied they want to continue their partnership with AD so it would be a matter of days for the deal to get done, as recent reports by NBA insider Jovan Buha has the Lakers wanting to extend Davis before training camp starts.

The Lakers will be extending Anthony Davis for 3 years and 168 million, today is officially eligible, even when a deal could get done in the next few weeks and not necessarily today.
