The Lakers are looking to add another trophy to their trophy room they want to win the 18th NBA Championship title to become the most-winner franchise in the league over their rival the Boston Celtics, as both are currently tied with 17 each.

The purple and gold governor and owner Jeanie Buss has a challenging task ahead of her, to continue building the legacy and dynasty her father Dr. Jerry Buss was able to build.

This time, after some difficult years, Buss trusted the first-timer head coach Darvin Ham to take the reigns of the team in the 2022-23 season, and even when it was hard to overcome what the franchise has lived, Ham took the team to the WCF and now for the 2023-24 season the team is going for more.

Jeanie Buss has opened up about what she thinks of coach Ham's first season and beyond: “I let Darvin know that from day one I am behind him 100% and I will continue to be behind him 100%. I reminded him of that during the season when he faced a lot of challenges."

Jeanie Buss thinks Darving Ham is the right man for making the team champions again

“What I appreciated about Darvin so much was that, in discussions before the season, I said, ‘Things may get worse before they get better. We’ll do everything we can to get the roster the way we want it to be.’ Darvin said, ‘That’s for me to figure out. I’m the coach of this team, so that’s for me to figure out how to bring out the best in each of these players. That’s what a coach does.’ That was music to my ears.” Said Jeanie Buss about coach Ham. Jeanie believes Darvin will win them the 18th title in the franchise's history.
