The Los Angeles Lakers have signed a 186 million extension for three years to their star Anthony Davis, with the hopes of making him the face of the franchise once LeBron James retires.

Still, AD has only won a championship title in four years and is still looking to get another one, but his injury record and inconsistency have prevented him from doing that.

ESPN's analyst Stephen A. Smith believes that Anthony Davis is more talented than the former Lakers champion Dwight Howard but the former Lakers have had a more impactful career so far.

"Dwight Howard was more impactful than Anthony Davis." Said Stephen A. Smith to Shannon Sharpe at the Club Shay Shar podcast. For Smith, both having won the same NBA championship title, gives Dwight Howard to have a better career, as Anthony Davis' inconsistence has prevented him from accomplishing much more with the team.

Anthony Davis wants to play more as the Power Forward

The Los Angeles Lakers star asked the front office for more help at the center position. Davis wants to return to the power forward role to stay healthy and be more impactful on the team.
