The Lakers fans have been vocal, in their majority, about their disdain for Russell Westbrook; the fans were divided entirely and letdown by Russ's performance in the past season. Nothing at all to what was expected of him.
Since the campaign's ending, rumors of West parting ways with the LA team were inevitable, and the fans applauded this action. The only problem is that Russ remains not only on the roster, but now it seems everyone inside the Lakers is supporting him to play for another season in LA.
This has fans going mad about the subject and even vocal about it via Twitter, Instagram, and other social media outlets. But now, there are some updates and good news and bad news for the Lakers that want Russ out of the team.
The good news is that Russell keeps open about the idea of his trade, and it has been his preference; the bad news is that not a single team seems to be interested in paying his big annual payroll. And the worst information is that the Lakers are making everything for Westbrook to stay and play, even starting in the lineup. Again, something fans disagree with entirely.
The Laker fandom is a strong one that unites when required, and lately, they have been pushing Rob Pelinka to trade Westbrook. At any opportunity the fans have, they write and demand Russ gone for the next season, as they think he isn't a player who deserves the purple and gold jersey.
