The tragic passing of Kobe Bryant still hurts, as two years and nine months have passed since the tragedy. Likewise, it has been hard for the Lakers' Spanish Icon Pau Gasol, as he lost his "Big Brother."
Gasol, who recently watched the documentary film recently released "The Redeem Team," which of the central focus is Kobe Bryant, has reacted to it in a very touching way. Even with all that happened in those Olympics games between Kobe and Gasol, as Kobe hit him in the first play of the match between their two nations. But they remained friends after that.
Pau saw the doc and his friend on it, and seeing Kobe was hard for him; the film touched Gasol, and he had a hard time sleeping after all the emotions that the doc woke up on him.
The Lakers had lost a final against the Boston Celtics, and later, Pau Gasol lost the Olympic finals against Kobe and the "Redeem team." Gasol said that in his return to LA on the first day of training camp, Kobe placed his gold medal, and Pau said, "Come on, please," and then Bryant said, "hey, we lost the finals against Boston, you lost against us, better don't lose for the third time on a road... this year we have to win the championship". Gasol got inspired by Kobe's message and attitude.
