Last season, the Lakers were able to course-correct a campaign that seemed doomed, but all that changed thanks to GM Rob Pelinka who made the right moves this time around.

The trade that helped the most was sending Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz and bringing D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt to LA.

The team made it to the WCF but got swept, still, Pelinka and Ham decided to bring the core of players back and pulled off what many believed to be the best signing of the offseason with bvindicting himself.

The ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins believes the Lakers won the offseason and isn't alone on that sentiment, as other analysts and commentators are thinking that as well.

Pelinka still has a couple of moves pending to call it a close offseason

Two moves we should be expecting Pelinka to make between now and training camp: extending Jarred Vanderbilt and signing that coveted big man.
