The narrative the NBA media will have you believe that the Lakers extending Anthony Davis is a massive mistake because his injury record and the number of missing games.

The reality is that AD has played more games since the 2019-20 season than NBA big stars like Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard amongst others.

GM Rob Pelinka has made a master move because not only has he secured the current best players in the roster up to 2028, but has given Davis the motivation to win the next championship title.

But most important, the Lakers are building for the future and not only for the next campaign. In the next 4+ years, LA has secured Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and Maxwell Lewis.

The Lakers fans just want Anthony Davis to stay healthy

The fans of the purple and gold love it when AD is at the top of his game, problem is, that's not always the case, because of all the injuries that he has gone through, not all of them have fully recovered from. Davis once hurt his hand and his 3-point shots haven't been the same since.
