This Tuesday night, history was made by the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James as he was 36 points away from passing the all-time scoring record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for 39 years, and James broke it by scoring 38 points.

Now, basketball, sports, and Hollywood are taking the time to praise the NBA's new scoring King. Here are some of the best reactions to LeBron's historic night.

More Lakers news:

James heard from rivals like Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. He heard from friends like Carmelo Anthony. He heard from Laker legends like Magic Johnson. He even heard from those outside the basketball world, like Bill Clinton, Drake, and Rihanna, to name a few. The sports world stopped Tuesday night to appreciate the NBA's newest all-time leading scorer.

Kyle Kuzma may not have been around for too many of LeBron's points, but he saw some of the biggest ones. Teammates from 2018 through 2021, Kuzma helped James win his fourth championship in 2020, and even though he's now a member of the Wizards, he still took a moment to celebrate the teammate that helped make him a champion.

Other sports athletes also congratulated the King

Soccer superstars from PSG, Neymar Jr. and Mbappe, took their time to congratulate LeBron by posting pictures of him and writing to the King. Also, other soccer players like the Mexican top scorer Chicharito Hernandez took their time to celebrate the superstar.
