Without a doubt, the greatest Lakers player of all time is Kobe Bryant, and because of that, the fans have been wanting to see a statue of him outside the Crypto.com Arena alongside other Purple and gold greats.

Recently the Lakers governor and owner Jeanie Buss said they aren't making any announcement yet but will do when the time is right. This has made the fans anxious, and more than many believe Jeanie wants to give LeBron James a statue first, even when the player hasn't even retired yet.

Now, Austin Reaves was asked about his teammate LeBron James potentially getting a statue with the team, and the answer has split the fans because many believe James still doesn't deserve such an honor, especially when Kobe's statue hasn't even been made yet.

"Yeah, why not," said Reaves in an interview with Sports Illustrated. "You know, he came to LA at a time where you know, wasn't having much success and what was it two-three years, you know, put a banner in the rafter, so why not? I mean, in my opinion, he's the greatest player to ever play the game."

Austin Reaves believes LeBron is still one of the best players in the NBA

"I don't think you can really. You can argue it for sure, I mean because there have been some really good players, but you know, I've always said that you could name the best person that you know everything scoring rebound and blah blah blah, and you could argue that Bron can compete at the top you know in all those categories, so yeah, why not." Said Reaves
