The Los Angeles Lakers are betting on continuity and have quit their win-now approach signings of the last season, and now they are going with a new strategy, bringing the core back and addressing their weak points with their new signings.
The purple and gold is set for the upcoming NBA season, the roster is complete with only the 15th spot available for another player, and while most believe the team's key players are already there, it might seem like a stretch to get star players to their team, but being the Lakers it might not be far fetched.
Some dream targets for the Lakers this season or in the following ones to become serious contenders for a championship title are Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
It may seem like a bad idea, but Damian Lillard gets to go to a team that he can contend with and the Lakers would get the third star they have desperately been looking for.
Tatum may be right now with the historically despised rival the Boston Celtics, but the star has been known to be a massive fan of the Lakers and especially of Kobe Bryant. Many in the NBA believe that is just a matter of time for Jayson to become a Laker, he could arrive in the post-LeBron James era. And the third option is Giannis, who has been linked with the team after his statement on wanting to be in a contending team if he feels the Bucks aren't anymore once is time for signing his extension.
