This is the 3-way trade that no one is taliking about

There is a 3-way trade trade involving the Jazz, the Mavs and the Lakers that just make sense according to NBA exec

Lakers fans are in dying need of a movement. Right now the team looks like the same that missed the playoffs last season but with more youth. Still seems that they aren't competitive enough to reach the playoffs and even further away from a chance at the Finals. The team still has LeBron and Davis but that's not enough. This NBA executive planned a three way trade between the Lakers, Jazz and Mavs that can upgrade the roster

In this trade the Dallas Mavericks would get the point guard Patrick Beverley from the Jazz who averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 58 games, plus Kendrick Nunn from the Lakers Meanwhile the Jazz would get Talen Horton-Tucker a 9.0 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds guy and Wenyen Gabriel from the Lakers, plus the Lakers first-round 2027 pick.

Finally the Lakers would get Tim Hardaway Jr. from the Mavericks, 2023 least-favorable first-rounder from Houston, Brooklyn or Philadelphia from the Jazz. “Teams like (Hardaway). You know what you’re getting. OK defender, streaky shooter, high basketball IQ, a veteran guy,” the source said. “The Lakers are looking for upgrades across the board, a veteran guy like Hardaway, there is something that could get done there if there was another team involved and a draft pick. He makes sense there.”

Of course this movement doesn't improve the the Lakers roster to a point that they can't be consider contenders but it's certainly a step forward to the playoffs. Hardaway averaged 16.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 70 games. But the shooting guard is also coming off an injury-plagued campaign and after what happens with LeBron James and especially Anthony Davis, maybe the Lakers don't want another pron-injury player.

What should the Lakers address before the start of the season?

We all know that the Lakers are waiting in a response from the Brooklyn Nets regarding Kyrie IRving. This move would not only improve the team's offense but this also would mean that they no longer have Russell Westbrook on their roster which is also good for the team. However they have to address the defensive side of the ball a they were bottom 10 last season.
