The Los Angeles Lakers haven't been as  aggressive during the offseason as we'd expected them to be. Last season they ended up with only 33 wins and missing the playoffs. They were affected by injuries as their best two players, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, missed more than 20 games each. Another injury

Another injury that hurt the Lakers was that of Kendrick Nunn. In 2021, Nunn signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, last season, the point guard missed all of the season last year due to a bone bruise in his knee . Now there have been reports that his ramp-up has been slower than anticipated.

It's not going to be easy to trade Russell Westbrook to the Jazz

Patrick Beverley vs Russell Westbrook let bygones be bygones

“He’s been around the facility shooting and working out. It’s been a slower than anticipated ramp-up… There’s a chance Nunn is the best free agent addition they make getting him back. He was pretty solid during his first couple of years in Miami as a combo guard. He’s someone who could develop into the sixth man for this team,” explained The Athletic’s Jovan Buha.

Kendrick Nunn played 2 seasons for the Heat before signing with the Lakers. He averaged 15.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.9 rebounds during his time in Miami. Now the Lakers can hope that he gets back as soon as possible  to help the team return to the playoffs.

Lakers additions this season

Kendrick Nunn might not be an addition made this offseason, but this is going to be the first time we'll see him wearing the Lakers jersey. The Purple and Gold also add Lonnie Walker IV, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones and Troy Brown in free agency. Finally, they traded for Patrick Beverley.
