What Austin Reaves just did that is making the Lakers fans lose their minds

The NBA 2022-23 season may be over, but Austin Reaves is about to enter a new tournament, this team will be representing the USA with the Basketball national team at the upcoming FIBA World Cup.

Reaves had an amazing year 2 in the NBA, as he not only came stronger than his rookie season, but at the end of the campaign, he was able to become a starter in coach Ham's lineups, to get a max-extension from the purple and gold and become the third best player of the team just behind Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

But now Reaves has done that has the Lakers and NBA fans excited, his first official picture with Team USA has been revealed, and he is looking sharp sporting his No. 15, a number that NBA greats like Magic Johnson, Carmelo Anthony, and even Devin Booker have used, it's now Reaves time to shine with the basketball national team.

Reaves may not be the starting SG in Team USA but he will be helpful in coach Steve Kerr's strategy, as he recently said that Austin kicked the Warriors butts for six straight games.

Austin Reaves got a max extension from the Lakers

The San Antonio Spurs were close to offering 7.5M more than what the Lakers offered Austin Reaves, but knowing the purple and gold were willing to match any offer for the SG prevented them from doing so. Pelinka then signed Austin Reaves for a four-year 56 million deal.
