With the newest movement, the Lakers made to their roster, Russell Westbrook will have to do what he was avoiding

In a surprising move, the German player Dennis Schröder will return to Los Angeles Lakers a year later after rejecting an 80 million worth extension, but now for about 2 million a year. Dennis had just finished participating in the EuroBasket tournament after losing the finals against Spain.

Los Angeles Lakers' biggest star LeBron James has shown his excitement and hype with the return of the guard and has even shared in his IG story that he can't wait to play again alongside Dennis.

But the good news isn't for everyone, as Russell Westbrook could once again find himself in a thought spot. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski sources told him that the LA Lakers GM Rob Pelinka and HC Darvin Ham recently reached out to Westbrook to say they planned to sign a veteran guard to the team's 14th roster spot.

With this recent event, Westbrook could be forced to do what he has been avoiding all offseason, as usually when a player does it, he never is seen the same again, and that is to reach for a new team via a buyout. Russ could be forced to do it as the only viable way to find a new section to play next season.

Russell Westbrook still could work in the Lakers team

The only viable option for Russ in case he stays for the purple and gold is to come off the bench for the first time in his NBA career, without counting his time as a rookie. Westbrook won't be happy to do it, but it seems his only viable option now.
