After the Lakers won the 2020 championship title things were looking for the LeBron James and Anthony Davis era to dominate the NBA for years to come, instead the team has been struggling, and while the 2022-23 season looked doomed, the squad was able to find their foot at the end of the regular season, thanks to the movements before the trade deadline, making it to the WCF.

Coach Ham and Pelinka decided to keep the core of the team that worked and keep building chemistry and the right culture by making signings that can improve the roster even more, they did that early this offseason and now the team has more depth, strength, and size overall.

Still, even when the fans are excited for what is to come for the team, there's a big but, coach Darvin Ham, who believes LA can become a champion but he hasn't been competent enough despite taking the team to the WCF, but the Lakers Nations believe that was thanks to the talent on the court but not the lineups and team's rotation.

There's a side in the Lakers Nation that firmly believes that with better coaching, the team won't have been swept. Still, Pelinka and Buss have put their trust in Ham for another season, and with a deeper roster and experience gained in the previous campaign, the landscape looks favorable for the purple and gold.

The Lakers will have their rematch vs. the Nuggets early on

The Los Angeles Lakers have a golden opportunity in the season opener when they play on the road against the NBA champions the Denver Nuggets, a team that swept them, but now LA is looking for a rematch. If the purple and gold take the win it will be a booster of confidence for the rest of the season to build momentum for the championship title.
