The offseason moves for the Lakers have been completed with the latest signing, as LA's GM Rob Pelinka got to sign for two years and 5.7 million, which is the veteran minimum for the center Christian Wood.

Wood was the best center available at the free agency market, and even when at the beginning of it, Brook Lopez and Naz Reid looked to be the better options, the Lakers got a 'steal.'

Back in June, by many in the NBA media, Christian Wood ranked 3rd on the list of best options for the Lakers' free agent center targets. But Brook Lopez signed for 48 million, and Naz Reid, another top option got 42 million.

The Lakers landed Wood for the minimum, which could become a 'steal' if the team makes him work. Christian is one of the best offensive centers in the league, his main problem has been said to be his attitude, but all the parties involved think they can make it happen. If it doesn't work, the Lakers will just cut Wood and move on.

Anthony Davis asks Pelinka for help at the center position

Anthony Davis wants to play less as the Lakers five, as he wants to stay healthy and believes he can do more for LA as the four. Christian Wood will significantly help AD to return to his preferred role of Power Forward.
