By James Brown
The Minnesota Timberwolves and now Team USA star Anthony Edwards was the standout of the game vs. Germany. Anthony received several praise and reactions from NBA players, one of them being LeBron James.
James used his Twitter to post "(Ant emoji) Man cooking!! That boy (cold emoji)," which is nothing unusual from the King, as he reacts when he considers praising an athlete.
But it seems that Edward's sentiment towards LeBron isn't the same, as he recently gave his top 5 NBA players of all-time and LeBron James isn't one of them.
The disrespect to LeBron after praising the young star isn't uncommon but this time is surprising. Edward's top 5 of all-time has Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Allen Iverson, and Kevin Durant.
Edwards named Jordan first, which is a bit unsurprising, then named Bryant and O’Neal next. The former Lakers duo helped Los Angeles achieve a three-peat from 2000 to 2002. Interestingly, “Ant-Man” was unable to appreciate that run at the time, as he was born in 2001. Yet, the fact that he acknowledges the greatness of the two Lakers icons is a testament to their legacies.
