Despite having a great offseason, the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka is still out there 'actively' looking to add a big center to fill the 14th roster spot as the team is running things in that position.

Anthony Davis has been playing as the starting center for coach Ham and it seems that the 2023-24 season won't be different. The other big in the locker room for LA is Jaxson Hayes and the third big, is the two-way rookie Colin Castleton.

Pelinka needs to sign another reliable big if the franchise doesn't want to have the weakest option of centers in the LeBron James and Anthony Davis era.

Without many options available in the free agency center market, Pelinka could be looking at the performances of last season's Laker and now former purple and gold big Wenyen Gabriel who has been a standout for his national team South Sudan.

Wenyen Gabriel has been cooking in the World Cup

The former Lakers center's latest performance had him score 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 blocks, but also made history as he helped his team to get a ticket for their first Olympics.
