D'Angelo Russell's first stint with the Lakers wasn't what any of the two parties expected, and because of that, when the opportunity appeared for the PG to return to LA he happily accepted.

Russell was one of the standouts for the team at the close of the 2022-23 regular season. D-lo didn't follow the postseason with the same pace which earned him some criticism from the fans as they were left out disappointed.

Still, D'Angelo wants to win them over on the court but has also started off the court by being gentle and thoughtful with the Lakers fans. A recent video released by the Los Angeles Lakers official Twitter account shows D-lo giving some love to the fans.

The caption of the post says "DLo loves the fans," and the video is proof of it. Now Russell needs to keep putting up the work to show the fans and the coaching staff that he is ready to turn around last season's playoffs situation and can still bring greatness to the team.

D'Angelo Russell will have some tough competition for the starting role

The Lakers have signed the PG Gabe Vincent, who recently played the NBA Finals vs. the Nuggets with the Heat and is set to battle with D-Lo for the starting role. But after his performances with Team USA, Austin Reaves could also claim a Point Guard role. Russell won't have it easy and will face some complicated competition for the starting position.
