The Los Angeles Lakers run Los Angeles, and that's how has been historically, Even when the NBA media and the Clippers fans want to sell a rivalry, is non-existent even though currently the Lakers are trailing 0-11 in the last games.
Still, the Clippers can't never compared with the purple and gold greatness. Clippers fans have tried to make the argument that because of the latest win, they dominate the Lakers, but that's never the case.
A Clipper fan recently posted on social media: "Kawhi's record vs. Lakers is 24-6. Westbrook record vs. the Lakers since 2009 is 25-9 and the Clipper's record vs. the Lakers since 2016 has been 25-6. Who runs LA?"
But the Clippers still haven't been able to win or even truly contend for a championship like the Lakers have done. Last season, even when the Clippers were the higher seed and many had them as the favorites to win the championship title, they were eliminated early in the playoffs while the purple and gold made it to the Western Conference Finals.
After the failure of his stint with the Lakers, Russell Westbrook signed with the Clippers and now will be back for a second campaign in LA with them. Westbrook made around 47 million annually with the Lakers, and now has signed a two-year 8 million deal.
