The words of James Harden against the Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations have shaken things in the NBA. The Sixers are in trouble and besides the point guard, another valuable star could leave the franchise.
Joel Embiid, the center who won last season's MVP deleted Philadelphia from his social media profile, which has made the NBA media speculate about the possibility of leaving the team and signing for another franchise.
The Lakers reporter for Lakers Nation's Ryan Ward has shared the odds, via BetOnline that GM Rob Pelinka has of signing the MVP center as he wrote on his Twitter TL:
"James Harden (blasting Daryl Morey) & Joel Embiid (taking the 76ers off social media profiles) are creating some chaos in Philly... Now Embiid's "next team" odds have surfaced, with the Lakers (+650) making the list via @betonline_ag."
It is a long shot for the Lakers to be able to sign the latest NBA MVP Joel Embiid, but bet sites have the chance of happening, even when in the lower end, a possibility. Pelinka is more focused on the free agency market to sign a center. A trade including Anthony Davis could make a trade possible but the Lakers won't be interested in getting rid of their best player.
