With the East now having a clear contender, Magic Johnson's pick to win the West

It's not a surprise that the Lakers legend Magic Johnson is always cheering for the purple and gold, as it was his home during all his NBA career.

Still, Johnson has applauded the offseason that GM Rob Pelinka was able to pull off and now has stated he believes the Lakers will be winning the Western Conference, still, the WCF he thinks will be held against a powerful team.

"My bold pick for the West is the Lakers and Phoenix Suns will be playing in the Western Conference Finals and the Lakers will win!" Wrote Johnson on his official X account.

The Lakers have a packed roster and will be a serious contender to win the West. The East just got some tough competition after the Bucks made a trade to acquire Damian Lillard and paired him up with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The purple and gold will be opening the season at home against the Phoenix Suns in what looks to be a close game with two of the best couple of duos in the league: AD & LeBron vs. Booker & KD.
