Despite having in their team two of the best NBA players in LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the LA Lakers have been suffering from 3-point shooting after the 2020 championship ended.

Different players have come and gone in hopes of the team surrounding their superstars with shooting, last year Coach Ham had Lonnie Walker and Malik Beasley, but now have left the team because they weren't the solution the squad needed.

But not everything is bad for the team, if there's any indication of what is to come, two stars have stood up for the team with what they were able to do in the Lakers postseason run.

With information via NBA analyst Trevor Lane, Rui Hachimura is the NBA's all-time leader in career playoff 3-point percentage at 52%. His Lakers teammate Austin Reaves, who had a breakout season, especially at the playoffs, is 12th all-time at 44%.

Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura were the top priorities in the free agency market

After what Reaves and Hachimura showed in the playoffs, it was a no-brainer that Pelinka and Ham have the two stars as their top priorities to bring back to the roster once they hit free agency. The Lakers wanted to bring back the core of the team that made it into the WCF, Austin, and Rui were two critical players for that success.
