Is not the first time that Anthony Davis has received 'attacks' from the NBA media once he signed with the Lakers, but the narrative has been strong in trying to diminish what the size player has accomplished.

In his first season with the Purple and gold, AD was able to win a championship title alongside LeBron James. After that, things haven't been the same, still, most of the blame goes towards Davis getting injured and being called fragile.

But the reality is that Davis has played more games in the last five years than other NBA greats like Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Paul George, Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard.

Still, many believed the Lakers star is the most fragile player, as Skip Bayless recently posted "So now the Lakers have signed Anthony Davis for the next 256 games, through 2028. When he's healthy and motivated, he's Top 10. But for how many of the 256 will he be healthy AND motivated? Optimistically, 64 ... one-fourth."

The Lakers extending Anthony Davis is a smart move

Not only does the Lakers extending Anthony Davis mean they will continue their partnership through 2028, but it also has given the star the confidence and motivation to win another championship title, and the next season seems to be the perfect opportunity for LA.
