Anthony Davis and his path towards the No.1 in the League

The Lakers are hoping that their two best players LeBron James and Anthony Davis can remain healthy throughout the season. Last season both players missed a bunch of games which resulted in the Lakers missing the playoffs. Now they need both players to play for at least 60 games each. According to Richard Jefferson, Davis can be the best player on the team.

Richard Jefferson believes that AD can be the best big player in the league if he remains healthy. "Like, that's Anthony Davis. That's who we had seen mature. That's who we have seen grow. He was the No. 1 big in the league in my opinion."

Despite Anthony Davis being one of the best players in the league, he hasn't been available for the Lakers since the 2020 championship run. Last year he only played 40 games and the year before he only suit up for 36. Still, Anthony Davis averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists last season.

"When he has played, when he has been on the court, let's just judge him purely off that," Jefferson said. “I have not seen AD since the bubble. Like, the player that he has been when he's been on the floor, right, for the last two years,” explain the NBA champion.

Anthony Davis has played 10 seasons for the Pelicans and Lakers. He has averaged 23.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.3 blocks during his career. His stats have earned him  8 All-Star selections.
