According to an NBA analyst, Patrick Beverley belongs to a Hall of Fame, just not the one you may think.

The Lakers just traded for Patrick Beverley because he is going to upgrade their team, at least on the defensive side of the ball. However, right now, the team still has Russell Westbrook on their roster which might end up being a huge problem as the two players have had a beef with each other for a long time now.

According to NBA analyst, Stephen A. Smith, adding Beverley might not be the brightest idea for the Lakers, especially if they can’t trade Westbrook away. The analyst explained that both players can’t coexist and that Beverley might end up hurting the team.

This is why the Lakers decided to trade Shaquille O'Neal

"But, I'm not of the mindset that the combination of him (Westbrook) and Patrick Beverley can coexist ... Patrick Beverley is a Hall of Fame agitator. This dude walks into a locker room and there's a standard in a culture that he's trying to infuse. And he will irritate his teammates just as much as he'll irritate the opposition,” explained Smith.

Now, some reports say that Lakers head coach Darvin Ham is trying to come up with lineups that allow him to play the two players in at the same time. But if Stephen A. is correct, the Lakers are not going to benefit from any player in the next season.

Beverley and Westbrook making peace?

There have been reports that argue that Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley have talked to each other and are ready to play together. However, that’s yet to be seen.
