The mindset that set apart the Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant from the rest of the league players; even has been nicknamed the “Mamba mentality.” 

And Shaq, a longtime teammate of Bryant, nows many different stories that he has shared over the years that keep proving what makes Kobe different. But now, Shaq has been honest and talked about their differences.

Both players were winners while active in the NBA, without a doubt, but Kobe and O´Neal didn´t share their obsessions because they were different. O´Neal has admitted: “I was obsessed with being the most dominant, he was obsessed with being the best ever.”

For Shaq, Kobe´s mindset was “Alien-like.” Nothing like he had ever seen. O´Neal went further: “When he was 18, he used to be in the locker room dribbling and shooting without the ball for hours. And then you see him practice the same move on the court. Like he was obsessed with being the best.”

Shaquille O´Neal could have been the best player of all time

Former Los Angeles Lakers coach recently revealed that he saw Shaquille O´Neal and Kobe Bryant in their prime, and the difference between the two players was the mentality. And Del Harris stated that if O´Neal had the seriousness of his teammate Kobe, Shaq would have been the best player.
