Russell Westbrook might have been the most talked about player in the whole NBA during this offseason. The news regarding his status has been a focal point not only for Lakers fans but also for all basketball fans. However, after a lot of rumors regarding possible trades for the former MVP, it seems that he will end just where he started. With the Lakers.

Now the only problem for the Lakers seems what to do with Russell Westbrook. Last season he didn't play that bad, but he still had the worst season of his career since his second year in the League. True, he's no longer the MVP he was in the 2016-17 season but he can still be a very good No.3 behind LeBron James and  Anthony Davis.

One last Russell Westbrook trade option for the Lakers

According to NBA insider, Zach Buckley, there's a way that the Lakers can benefit from keeping Russell Westbrook on the team. But to do so, the former MVP must take his pride out of the equation and do the ‘dirty work' for LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“Westbrook is unique in that his best-case scenario isn't his most productive one. If he finally leans into the dirty work—digging in defensively, setting screens and exploding out of them toward the rim—he could fit with this roster and actually enhance it,” commented Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley.

Does Russell Westbrook fit on the Lakers?

Many people wanted Russell Westbrook out of the team. And after Patrick Beverley's arrival, it looked as if it was a guarantee. Nut now it seems that he will play for the Lakers, but with a different role and in a different position.
