The Lakers have been trying to trade Russell Westbrook since the end of last season. There are some reports that believe that Russell Westbrook might be at the end of his career, even if he is traded or not. Now, NBA analysts believe that Russell Westbrook is not only going to remain in the NBA, but he will also resurrect his career.

Russell Westbrook had a tough season last year. His numbers weren't that bad, but they were below his career average. The biggest problem for the former MVP is that both LeBron James and Anthony Davis missed a bunch of games due to injuries and Westbrook couldn't carry the team to a couple of victories so that they could reach the playoffs.

“I think he’ll be much better this year, make no mistake about it. I think Russell Westbrook will resurrect himself. I think we all need to pay attention to that, but I also think, what I love about what happened to him last year, he learned this ain't Oklahoma City, this ain't Houston, this ain't Washington DC. This is the Lakers,” concluded Smith.
