NBA analyst Nick Wright takes a huge shot towards Russell Westbrook after Jeanie Buss comments. 

The Lakers had a disastrous season last year. Anthony Davis and LeBron James were liabilities for the team as they missed a lot of games due to injuries. That's why Lakers owner Jeanie Buss came out to the Athletic to say that Russell Westbrook was the best player for the team last year. Despite the comments from the owner, but, some people disagree with her. 

“All I can say is that, from my point of view, [Westbrook] was our best player last year. He played pretty much every single game, showed up, and worked hard… But Russ showed up every game and played hard every night,” commented Jeanie Buss.

However, NBA analyst Nick Wright didn't agree with the comments made by the owner as he believes that Russell Westbrook was the reason why the team ended up missing the playoffs with the 33-49 record.

“Russ was consistent. He was consistently terrible. Every night you knew he was going to show up, play 30 plus minutes and be bad… He was here and he was bad. Calling him their best player is an absurdity,” commented Nick Wright on his podcast ‘What’s Wright? with Nick Wright'

Will Russell Westbrook have a better season?

Some people believe Russell Westbrook is going to have a bounce-back season this year. He has shown in the past years that he can have a better season than the year prior.
